It’s been a long, cold, grey winter, but one sure sign that spring is here is the opening of Kunstenfestivaldesarts (KFDA). The festival kicks off this Friday for three weeks of performance, dance, theatre, film and installations. It’s a veritable feast for the senses and the mind to drive away the hibernal blues.

Veerle Baetens

In yet another award associated with the Flemish film The Broken Circle Breakdown, co-star Veerle Baetens was last week awarded the Best Actress Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. “This is really fantastic,” she said. “I’m very happy that I was chosen for this role … I also hope to be in the US soon to support the film.” The film also won Best Screenplay at the prestigious festival.
