On three afternoons, you will find all the information you need on electric driving at the coast, plus the opportunity to test out electric cars, bicycles and scooters. The dates and locations of EVA on the Beach are:
25 July - Knokke-Heist, Lichttoren Square
26 July - Blankenberge, King Leopold III Square
27 July - De Haan, Christianahelling
EVA is one of five Flemish “living labs” on electric mobility. The project is supported by the Flemish minister for innovation, Ingrid Lieten, and receives financial aid from the Agency for Innovation through Science and Technology (IWT). The main partners are Flemish energy distributor Eandis, cable TV and internet provider Telenet, Ghent University and the Free University of Brussels, electric mobility service provider Blue Corner, electric mobility consultancy company 4IS and car industry federation Federauto. Representatives of each will be present at EVA on the Beach.
By September, the EVA project will have installed a network of 71 charging points for electric vehicles. The infrastructure consists of parking spots and bicycle racks where electric cars, vans, bikes and scooters can charge their batteries.
