Docville invites public to send in love letters
Pour your heart out in a letter and send it to Leuven’s documentary film festival for a chance to win awesome prizes
Who do you love?
“Send us your most beautiful words for your sweetheart, for a stranger on the train, for your crush, for someone you let slip away long ago…” says Docville in an invitation to the public.
The film festival kicks of a the end of March and, while organisers are not yet revealing why love letters are important this year, they do say that selected works could be used in communications and will certainly be part of an artistic installation.
Don’t let that discourage you; letters can be anonymous. They can also be written in English, should that be your preference.
The writers of all letters selected will win two passes to the nine-day festival. An additional grand prize of VIP tickets to opening night and an overnight stay in the city will be awarded to the “most beautiful, catchy and original entry”.
Letters – only one per person and fully original work, of course – can be uploaded online until 14 February.
