New penguin shuttle for Planckendael

Planckendael animal park in Mechelen will shuttle visitors back and forth to and from the train station

Bust on weekends and holidays

The Planckendael animal park in Mechelen is laying on a special shuttle bus during weekends, school holidays and every day in the summer. Dubbed the Penguin Shuttle, the bus (pictured) is decorated with the Antarctic birds and will take visitors bound for the park from the train station and back again.

The park is launching the service to take the place of the privately owned boat that used to take visitors down the Leuvens Canal from the station to the park. The boat stopped operating last year.
