It is pretty obvious this breakfast café is not American, despite the thick New England accents of the owners and its downtown Westerly, Rhode Island location. The broodjes and pannenkoeken on the menu are a clue, but it’s the painted mural of the three towers that drives it home: this café on the east coast of the US is all about Ghent, East Flanders.
